Medical Visa from Sudan to India


 

Eligibility for Indian Medical Visa from Sudan

  • Applicants should apply for an Indian medical visa when their sole purpose of travel to the country is medical treatment.

  • Patients coming to India for medical treatment should consult only reputed/recognized/specialized hospitals.

  • Only two medical attendants are allowed with the patient. They should be his/her family members/spouse.

  •  The non-exhaustive list of treatments for which a medical visa is granted include neurology, congenital deformity, cardiology, orthopedic, cosmetic treatments, organ transplantation and others.

 

Important Documents Required for Indian Medical Visa from Sudan

  • A medical advisory from the local doctor or hospital in Sudan.

  • An official letter from the concerned hospital in India stating the patient’s name, treatment procedure and duration of treatment.

  • Proof of funds through the applicant’s bank statement.

  • In case of a sponsor, an Affidavit and his/her bank statement is required.

  • Two photographs.

  • Passport with at least six months validity and two pages bearing the signature of the applicant matching the one on the application form.

 

Online Application of Indian Medical Visa from Sudan

  • After clicking on Regular Visa Application in the Indian Visa Online website, select the following from the drop down:

    • Your country name

    • High Commission

    • Nationality

    • Visa Type

    • Purpose

  • Select your date of birth and the expected date of your arrival, enter your email ID and the access code and click Continue.

  • Fill up all the three pages of the online application form. Click on Save and Continue at the bottom of each page to go to the next one.

  • Enter the applicant’s details and his/her passport details on the first page of the form.

  • Provide with your current address and your permanent address details, particulars regarding your family and profession/occupation in the second page.

  • Provide information about the local hospital you have consulted in your country, the hospital you are going to have treatment in India, duration of the treatment, no. of entries required, purpose of your visit to India, estimated date of journey, date of arrival in and departure from India, details about your previous visit to SAARC countries and reference.

  • In case you do not have a reference in India, you can provide Vaidam’s contact details, only if you travel through the company’s assistance.

  • Upload a photograph that should maintain the below listed criteria:

    • The size of the photo should be between 15 – 20 KB and of 2inch x 2inch size.

    • The format of the photo should be in JPEG.

    • Height and width of the photograph should be equal (Dimensions between 350 pixels and 1000 pixels).

    • The photo of the applicant should have a full face, front view with eyes open.

    • The background should be white / light colored.

    • The photo should not have any borders or shadows on the face and background.

  • Go through the preview that appears on a new window of the screen after clicking on Save and Continue on the last page of the form.

  • Click on Verified and Continue. In case of alterations click on Modify / Edit.

  • After running your eyes through the set of instructions that open on a new window, click on Confirm the Appointment or Cancel if any changes are to be done.

  • Select a convenient date of appointment for the submission of your visa application at the Mission Counter.

  • On being provided with two options to print or save, click on Save lest your lose the form.

  • After to you save it, go to the homepage of Indian Visa Online website and click on Print Registered Application.

  • Select the type of visa you have applied for and the Indian Mission, enter your application ID, date of birth, passport number and the access code to get the print out.

  • Put your full signature in the required places in the form and submit the application along with the necessary documents at the Mission Counter on the appointed date. The date is mentioned at the right margin of the application.

 

Indian Medical Visa Processing Fees

Indian medical visa processing fee is USD 80 (520 SDG ) for 6 months and USD 120 (780 SDG) for a year.

Medical Visa Information after Your Arrival in India

Medical Visa Extension

Medical visa extension is required when one has to stay in India for his/her treatment beyond the duration of his/her medical visa. In that case, after his/her medical visa expires or just a few days before its expiry date, one has to go to the FRRO office along with an official document from the hospital stating the patient’s name, his/her treatment procedure and the extra time required for the completion of his / her treatment and other necessary documents .

It is mandatory for international travellers to get themselves registered at FRRO offices after their arrival in India. FRRO or Foreign Regional Registration Office administers the important official nuances regarding the visa, arrival, stay and departure of foreigners. The documents required for an FRRO registration is listed below:

  • Application form.

  • Photocopy of the passport and the initial visa.

  • Four photographs of the applicant.

  • Details of his/her stay in India.
