Eligibility for Medical Visa from Mozambique to India

Applicants should apply for an Indian medical visa when their sole purpose of visiting the country is medical treatment.

The hospital in India chosen by the applicant should be specialized/recognized.
-
A maximum number of two medical attendants are allowed to accompany the patients on their medical trip to India.

Medical treatments related to cardiology, neurology, organ transplantations, cosmetic treatment, congenital defects are included in the non-exhaustive list of treatments.
Important Documents Required for Indian Medical Visa from Mozambique

Correctly filled visa application form.

Original passport with a validity of six months and a copy of its front page.

One recent color photograph maintaining the following criteria:

Size: 2x2 inch

Frontal face, both ears visible white/off-white background

Copy of an official letter from the concerned hospital authorities in India.

An official letter from the local hospital or clinic where the patient has been diagnosed / treated previously that recommends specialized treatment for the patient.

Copy of medical reports and documents of the patient.

Copy of ticket booking. (ticket confirmation is not required)

Online Application of Indian Medical Visa from Mozambique

In the government website of Indian Visa Online, click on Regular Visa Application.
-
Provide your country name, high commission, your date of birth, nationality, email ID, the expected date of arrival in India and the visa type.

Fill up each of the three pages of the form with the correct details and click on Save and Continue at the bottom of each page.

Enter your profession and family address.
-
Put details concerning your medical visa application: your local hospital, the hospital you are going to have treatment in, in India, duration of the treatment, number of entries required, purpose of visiting the country, estimated date of journey, arrival in and departure from India, details about SAARC country visit and reference.

If you are making your medical trip to India only with the assistance of Vaidam Health but do not have an Indian reference, you can provide the contact details of the company.

You will get to see a preview of your visa application in a new window once you press Save and Continue on the last page.

After going through the preview in details, click on Verified and Continue if the data entered by you is correct. For any change or rectification, click on Modify/Edit.

Read the set of instructions that appear in another new window and click OK for final registration. For any changes, click Cancel.

Choose your preferred date of appointment from the new window for the submission of your visa application at the Mission Counter.

Save the online visa application when you are provided with two options of Save and Print in a new window.

At the homescreen of the Indian Visa Online website click on Print Registered Application. Select your visa type (regular visa / e-tourist visa), the Indian Mission, enter your application ID, date of birth, passport number and the access code and press Reprint.

Paste one recent color photograph of 2inchx2inch size against a white background with full frontal view of the face and visible ears. Do not staple it to the form. Follow the photo the specifications here.

Put your full signature inside the rectangular box located just below the photo box. Do the same at the end of the application as well.

Submit the application form along with the necessary documents at the Mission Counter on the appointed date. The date is mentioned at the right margin of the application.
Indian Medical Visa Processing Fee
The Indian medical visa processing fee for Mozambican nationals for:

Duration of 6 months: USD 223 / MZN 13860

Duration of 1 year / for urgent processing: USD 303 / MZN 18820
For Portuguese and Swazi nationals:

Duration of 6 months: USD 83 / MZN 5180

Duration of 1 year: USD 123 / MZN 7660
An amount of USD 3 dollars that goes to the ICFW is included in the processing fees of Indian medical visa from Mozambique.
Note:

Medical visa processing fees should be deposited in the account of Indian High Commission in Mozambique.

Details of the bank account will be provided to the applicant when they arrive in the mission counter to submit their applications.

Payment by Debit card is accepted in the Mission Counter although 1.01% is charged extra.

Checks and bank transfers are not accepted.

The time required for processing Indian medical visa for Mozambique and Swazi nationals is 2 days whereas for other nationals it takes 3 working days.

Medical Visa Information after Your Arrival in India
Medical Visa Extension
When the duration of the treatment or recovery of the patient exceeds the medical visa expiry date then he / she has to apply for a medical visa extension. To apply for the same he / she has to submit the required documents along with an official letter from the respective hospital that mentions the patient’s medical condition, treatment procedure and the extra number of days required for the completion of the treatment.
FRRO
FRRO or Foreign Regional Registration Office caters to and administers the registration, visa extension, departure and other nuances regarding international travellers’ arrival, stay and departure from India. The documents required for registration at FRRO offices are:

E-Tourist Visa from Mozambique to India
One can apply for an e-tourist visa when he/she requires short term medical treatments / check-ups. The documents required to apply for e-tourist visa are:

PDF version of the scanned first page of the passport whose size should be between 10KB to 300 KB.

The applicant should upload a recent digital photograph that follows the following criteria:

The size of the photo should be between 10KB to 1MB.
-
The height and width of the photo should be of equal length.
-
The photo should contain full face, front view of the applicant with his/her eyes open.
-
From top of the hair to the bottom of the chin of the applicant should be clearly visible. Head should be at the center of the frame.
-
Background should be either white or plain light color.
-
No shadows should be there on the face or the background.
-
The photo should not contain any borders.
