Important Documents Required for Indian Medical Visa from Mauritius

Original passport with a validity of 6 months.

Print of complete online visa application form filled with block letters.

Two recent passport photographs. One should be pasted in the concerned photo box in the form and the other to be pasted. The photographs should adhere to the criteria mentioned here.

Official letter from the concerned hospital in India or the Ministry of Health and Quality of Life in Mauritius stating the name of the patient and the medical attendant, his/her passport details and expected date of journey.
Online Application of Indian Medical Visa from Mauritius

In the government website of Indian Visa Online, click on Regular Visa Application.

Select the name of your country, high commission, nationality from the drop down sections, put your date of birth, enter your email id and expected date of arrival, select the visa type and the purpose of your visit from the drop down section, enter the access code and click on Continue.

Fill up each of the three pages that the online visa application form consist of and click Save and Continue at the bottom of each page.

Enter details regarding your family address and profession.

Fill in with particulars regarding your visa application that constitutes the local hospital in your country, the hospital you will have treatment in India, time taken for the treatment, no. of entries, purpose of your visit to India, expected date of journey, estimated arrival in and departure from the country, details about your previous to SAARC countries and reference.

In case you do not have a reference in India, you can provide Vaidam’s contact details, only if you travel through the company’s assistance.

After you complete the form and click on Save and Continue on the third page, go through the preview of the visa application form that appears in a new window. For alterations/changes in any of the data click on Modify/Edit else click on Verified and Continue.

Go through the set of instructions that appear on the screen. In case you have to make any changes, click on Cancel else click on Confirm the Appointment.

Select a convenient date of appointment for the submission of your visa application at the Mission Counter.

Click on Save when you are provided with two options on a new window thereafter. On printing it immediately, you may lose the application.

After to you save it, go to the homepage of Indian Visa Online website and click on Print Registered Application.

Select the type of visa you have applied for and the Indian Mission, enter your application ID, date of birth, passport number and the access code to get the print out.

Affix a passport size picture and put your full signature in the required sections in the form.

Submit the application form along with the necessary documents at the Mission Counter on the appointed date. The date is mentioned at the right margin of the application.

Medical Visa Information after Your Arrival in India
Medical Visa Extension
One requires a medical visa extension when his/her span of treatment exceeds the duration of his/her medical visa. In order to increase the number of days of stay in the country and continue the treatment, it is necessary for the patient to apply for a medical visa extension after or just before his/her medical visa expires at the FRRO office. A digital photograph is to be uploaded. The photograph should maintain the following criteria:

The height and width of the photo should be equal.

Photo should have full face, front view and eyes open.

Center head within the frame. Head from top of the hair to the bottom of the chin of the individual should be prominent.

Background should be plain light colored or white.
