Eligibility for Medical Visa from Liberia to India

Medical visa is only granted to those whose only purpose to travel to another is medical treatment.

Patient should seek treatment at a recognized/reputed/specialized hospital/healthcare center in India.

The patient is allowed with maximum two medical attendants to accompany him/her. They can be his/her family members or close associates.

Serious ailments like neurosurgery, joint replacements ophthalmic disorders, renal disorders, cardiac problems, congenital disorders, organ transplantations, radiotherapy, plastic surgery, gene therapy and others are of primary considerations in granting a medical visa. The list of treatments is non-exhaustive.
Important Documents Required for Indian Medical Visa Application from Liberia

Medical report of the applicant or an official recommendation letter from the hospital/doctor for the medical treatment.

An official letter from the concerned hospital in India where the applicant will be having his/her treatment.

Air ticket booking or reservation.

Completely and correctly filled medical visa application form.

Bank statement not more than 6 months old as proof of sufficient funds to support oneself while his/her stay in India.

The form consists of four pages. The first and second page consists of Part A, page 3 includes Part B and page 4 Part C.

In the first page, enter correct information of your name, your previous name (if any), father or husband’s name, place and date of birth, your contact details, profession, passport number and its date of issue and expiry. Tick on yes according to the country you are living in right now.

In page 2 give details about child/children endorsed on the passport accompanying the applicant (one photo of each child is to be attached). Enter his/her name, place and date of birth, sex and relationship with the applicant.

Fill up the rest of the second page with your other credentials like your present nationality, citizenship acquired by birth or naturalization, any other nationality at present/in the past, whether you or your parents or grandparents have ever held the nationality of Pakistan, whether there has been a refusal of visa, purpose and date of previous visits to India, from where was the visa acquired during previous visits, the address details of friends/relatives/places of stay during previous visits to India and name of the country visited in the last 10 years.

In page 3 or Part B of the medical visa application form you will have to fill up the number of entries, duration or period for which the visa is required, countries from which entry to India will be made, purpose of the journey (type of visa), places in India to be visited, approximate dates regarding your departure from Abidjan, arrival in India, port of first entry into India, port of final departure from India and whether holding “No objection to return in India” endorsement – if so, mention the particulars.

Also provide two references one from your country and one from India in the same page. If you do not have a reference in India then you can mention Vaidam’s contact details only if you make your medical travel to India with Vaidam’s assistance.

Lastly, put your signature (matching to that in the passport) and date in page 4 as you undertake to utilize your visit to India for the purpose of which you have applied for the visa and should not seek any employment or set up any business in the country.
Indian Medical Visa Processing Fee
The cost of Indian Medical Visa from Liberia is USD 80 for 6 months. An extra charge of USD 3 is added to it that goes to ICWF.
Republic of Liberia and the Republic of Guinea are concurrently accredited to the mission. Visa applications are submitted to the Honorary Consulate General of India, Monrovia. Visa fee is to be submitted in bank accounts as follows:

Medical Visa Extension
Visa extension is required when one needs more time for his or her recovery that goes beyond his departure date from India. In that case the patient requires an official letter from the concerned hospital authority stating his/her ailment, treatment procedure and the number of days he/she would take to recover completely to go back to his/her own country. The applicant has to go to the FRRO office with the letter and the required documents to extend his/her stay in the country.

Foreign Regional Registration Office controls the registration, departure visa extension and other nuances of the foreign nationals regarding their passports, visa and their stay in India. Foreigners have to register themselves in the FRRO office once they arrive in India. Below is mentioned the documents that are required for FRRO registration:

E-Tourist Visa from Liberia to India
E-tourist visa can be used for medical travel when patients require short term medical treatments or check-ups. Here are the documents that are required for E-tourist visa.

The size of the PDF should be 10KB to 300KB.

A digital photograph is to be uploaded. The photograph should maintain the following criteria:

Size: 10KB to 1MB

The height and width of the photo should be equal.

Photo should have full face, front view and eyes open.

Center head within the frame. Head from top of the hair to the bottom of the chin of the individual should be prominent.

Background should be plain light colored or white.
