Eligibility for Medical Visa from Kazakhstan to India
Applicants whose only purpose of travelling to India is medical treatment should apply for a medical visa.
They should choose recognized/reputed/specialized hospitals/healthcare centers in India for their medical treatment.
Only two medical attendants are allowed to accompany the patient during their medical trip to India. The medical attendants can be their family/relatives/close associates.
The list of treatments for which medical visa is approved is non-exhaustive. Some of the treatments in the list are joint replacement, cardiac surgery, neurosurgery, organ transplantation, cosmetic treatment, congenital disorders, renal disorders and others.
Important Documents Required for Indian Medical Visa from Kazakhstan
Print of the completely and correctly filled online visa application form.
Two colored passport size photographs with a white background of size 2 inch x 2 inch.
Original passport with at least one year validity.
Documents to prove the availability of funds.
An official letter of invitation from the concerned hospital in India in which the applicant seeks treatment.
Photocopies of tickets and passport.
Online Application of Indian Medical Visa from Kazakhstan
Click on Regular Visa Application in the Indian Visa Online website.
Enter the necessary information: the name of your country, high commission, your date of birth, nationality, email-ID, expected date of arrival in India and visa type. Click Continue after putting the access code.
There are three pages in the form. Click on Save and Continue at the bottom after you complete entering details on each page.
Give your family address and your profession/occupation.
Enter details regarding your medical visa application: the local hospital where you have been diagnosed/ treated in your own country and the concerned hospital in India, duration of the treatment, number of visa entries, purpose of visit, expected date of journey, expected date and time of arrival in and departure from India, other information, information regarding your visit to SAARC countries and reference.
In case you do not have a reference in India, you can provide the contact details (address and contact number) of Vaidam only if you are travelling to India with the company’s assistance. Click here to get the required contact details.
Paste two colored pictures after you take a print of the completely filled online visa application form.
A preview of the completely filled online visa form will appear on the screen once you click on Save and Continue on the third page.
After going through them thoroughly, if you think there is need for rectification of any of the information, click on Modify/Edit. If all the information provided by you is correct, click Verified and Continue.
Read in details the set of instructions that appear on a new window thereafter and click OK for final registration. If any details in the form require change, click Cancel.
Select the appointment date for submitting the visa application along with the necessary documents at the Mission counter and click on Confirm the Appointment.
A new window bearing two options of Save and Print will appear on the screen. Save your online visa application.
Click on Print Registered Application to get the hardcopy of your application form.
Paste your recent color photograph of size 2 inch x 2 inch inside the photo box on the first page.
Put your signature on the rectangular box just below the photo box. Do the same in the box at the bottom of the second page.
Submit the application form along with the required documents at the Mission Counter on the appointed date, mentioned at the right margin of the application, during the working hours.
Indian Medical Visa Processing Fee
The Indian medical visa processing fee for 6 months is KZT 26,000 (USD 79) and KZT 39,000 (USD 119) for over 6 months or a year.

Medical Visa Information after Your Arrival in India
Medical Visa Extension
A patient requires a medical visa extension when some more time becomes necessary for his / her convalescence beyond the stipulated duration of his/her stay in India. During such cases, an official letter from the hospital is to be submitted to the respective FRRO office in the city where the patient is having treatment along with the required documents. The official letter should contain the patient’s illness, treatment procedure and the number of extra days taken by him/her to recover completely.
Foreign Regional Registration Office administers all the functions related to the arrival and departure of foreign nationals, their registration on arrival, visa extension, passports and others during their stay in India. Registration at the FRRO offices is a must for foreign nationals when they come to India. The documents required for FRRO registration are:
Copy of the passport and the initial visa.
Four recent photographs of the applicant.
Address and other details of their stay in India.
