Medical Visa from Jordan to India


Eligibility for Indian Medical Visa from Jordan

  • The sole purpose of the applicants of Indian medical visa should be medical treatment.

  • The hospitals they consult in India to have treatment in should be recognized/reputed/specialized.

  • Maximum number of medical attendants (can be the patient’s family members/relatives/spouse) allowed to accompany the patient are two.

  • Medical treatments related to cardiology, neurology, organ transplantations, cosmetic treatment, congenital defects are included in the non-exhaustive list of treatments.

 

Important Documents Required for Indian Medical Visa from Jordan

  • Print of the correctly and completely filled online application form.

  • Original passport with a validity of 6 months and two blank pages.

  • Other/old passports of the applicant in case he/she has dual or multiple citizenship.

  • Copies of the latest passport should be attached to the visa application form.

  • Copy of Akaama.

  • Proof of residence.

  • Non- Jordanians have to provide a residence proof that indicates 2 years of stay in Jordan.

  • Visa invitation letter from the concerned hospital mentioning the name of the patient, details of the passport and his/her medical attendants on the letter head.

  • Latest medical reports or prescription of the patient from the local doctor in Jordan. They should be in English or translated to English.

  • Proof of availability of funds so that the patient can incur his / her expenses in India.

 

Online Application of Indian Medical Visa from Jordan

  • Click on Regular Visa in the government website of Indian Visa Online.

  • Enter details such as the country you are from, high commission, your date of birth, nationality, email ID, expected date of arrival in India and the visa type.

  • Fill up each of the three pages of the form with the correct details and click on Save and Continue at the bottom of each page.

  • Provide details about your profession/occupation and family address.

  • Enter particulars about your local hospital, the Indian hospital you have consulted to have treatment in, time taken for the completion of your treatment, number of required entries, purpose of visiting India, expected date of journey, arrival in and departure from India, about previous SAARC country visit (if any) and reference.

  • If you are making your medical trip to India only with the assistance of Vaidam Health but do not have an Indian reference, you can provide the contact details of the company.

  • It is mandatory to upload your latest color photo in the form according to the credentials mentioned here

  • Go through the preview of your visa application that will appear on a new window after you complete the last page of the form and click Save and Continue.

  • If the information entered by you does not require any further modification/change, click on Verified and Continue. In order to change any information click on Modify/Edit.

  • After going through the set of instructions that appear in another new window, click on OK for final registration. For changes, click Cancel.

  • In the new window that appears on the screen, choose a convenient date of appointment for the submission of your visa application.  

  • Save the online visa application when you are provided with two options of Save and Print in a new window.

  • At the homescreen of the Indian Visa Online website click on Print Registered Application. Select your visa type (regular visa / e-tourist visa), the Indian Mission, enter your application ID, date of birth, passport number and the access code and press Reprint.

  • Paste one recent color photograph of 5cmx5cm size against a white background with full frontal view of the face and visible ears. Do not staple it to the form.

  • Put your full signature in the required areas of the form.

  • Submit the application form along with the necessary documents at the Mission Counter on the appointed date. The date is mentioned at the right margin of the application.

 

Indian Medical Visa Processing Fee

The processing fee of Indian medical visa from Jordan is 60 JD for 6 months and 89 JD for a year. An amount of 2 JD is inclusive of the visa fees that go to the ICWF.

Note: Visa fees are accepted only in cash and in Jordanian Dinar.

Medical Visa Information after Your Arrival in India

Medical Visa Extension

When the duration of treatment or recovery exceeds the valid time span of the patient’s visa then a medical visa extension is required. In order to extend the stay of the patient in India, the patient or his/her medical attendant has to go to the concerned city’s FRRO office with an official letter from the hospital where he/she is having treatment in and other required documents. The letter from the hospital should consist of the patient’s medical condition, treatment procedure and the number of extra days necessary for his/her recovery.

 

FRRO

Registration of foreigners after their arrival in India along with their departure, visa extension and other nuances regarding the foreigners’ stay in the country is looked after by the Foreign Regional Registration Office (FRRO). It is necessary for the international patients arriving in India to register in the FRRO office. Below is listed the required documents for registration:

E-tourist Visa from Jordan to India

One can apply for an e-tourist visa when he/she requires short term medical treatments / check-ups. The documents required to apply for e-tourist visa are:

  • PDF version of the scanned first page of the passport whose size should be between 10KB to 300 KB.

  • The applicant should upload a recent digital photograph that follows the following criteria:

    •  The size of the photo should be between 10KB to 1MB.

    • The height and width of the photo should be of equal length.

    • The photo should contain full face, front view of the applicant with his/her eyes open.

    • From top of the hair to the bottom of the chin of the applicant should be clearly visible. Head should be at the center of the frame.

    • Background should be either white or plain light color.

    • No shadows should be there on the face or the background.

    • The photo should not contain any borders.
