Nuriddin Rahmatov from Uzbekistan Gets Right Treatment in India for Type 1 Diabetes - Returns Home Fully Satisfied
Nuriddin Rahmatov, 68, was diagnosed with LADA, a form of Type 1 diabetes, at age 62. He had considerable family history with diabetes complications, he was determined not to go down the same path. Golib Shomiev, Nuriddin’s nephew, when hearing about this was deeply concerned about his uncle. His goal in life at that time was to find a good treatment for his uncle, “we wanted the very best, and cost was not a factor”.
30-year-old Golib did what most millennials would do. He went on the internet and Googled Diabetes treatment. His search showed multiple best endocrinology hospitals in India. One of them happened to be Vaidam. “I enjoyed searching for options on the Vaidam website. The interface was easy to use and I could classify treatments from different doctors and hospitals.” After reading reviews about Medanta Hospital, they decided to make an appointment with Dr Ambrish Mithal. “The good doctor was everything we had hoped for, his reviews online were top class”.
The two made an appointment on the 12th of March and began making arrangements for their journey. One area that they specifically needed help was with their Visa. After explaining their situation to Vaidam’s Patient Representation, they were promised assistance and help in case any further needs arose. Within 2 days, the travelers’ Visas arrived; now all that was left was to make the necessary travel arrangement to India.
The two arrived in India on the 12th of March and were taken directly to meet the doctor. Arriving at Medanta Hospital, Dr. Ambrish Mithal requested Nuriddin to get some preliminary tests done. This included the hba1c test to check blood sugar levels over a 3 month period. The Endocrinologist also wanted to monitor his sugar levels over the next few days. Aware of the possible damages that type 1 diabetes can be prone to, the doctor also advised strict lifestyle changes and a regulated diet.
Not surprisingly, that took a huge amount of effort. Nuriddin tracked his glucose levels with a continuous glucose monitor, and was in constant touch with the best endocrinologist in India Dr. Mithal. His attention to detail paid off; over the next few days there was a significant drop in Nuriddin’s blood sugar levels. “Just within a week, I feel much better. Now the challenge will be to maintain the current improvements over a sustained period of time.”
“Dr Mithal’s diagnostic and proposed treatment plans have been very fruitful, I will take this back with me to my home country” an overjoyed Nuriddin said. After 2 weeks in India, the two made their way back to their home country. Nephew Golib Shomiev is so ecstatic by the whole outcome that he plans to return to India on the 28th of May, bringing other ailing family members this time.
We thank the family for putting their trust on Vaidam and pray from a complete and speedy recovery.
