I am Nenze from Malawi.

What brought you to India?

I was extremely exhausted by visiting so many hospitals and consulting various doctors. I needed a permanent solution to all my back pain. This was when a friend of mine suggested that I should visit India to get the best treatment at affordable prices. When I started looking for the best spine surgery hospitals in India, I came across a website named Vaidam Health. They provided complete assistance during our visit to India. I posted my query and soon received a call back from one of the case managers.

How did you choose the doctor and the hospital for your treatment?

Before coming to India, the case manager from Vaidam provided me with a list of some of the top hospitals in India, that have a great record in performing complex surgeries with a high success rate. They also gave me opinions and quotations from all the hospitals and helped me with the selection amongst them. After going through some hospital profiles and doctor profiles, I decided to visit Artemis Hospital, Gurgaon.

How did you get the visa and arrange your stay?

The team helped me get a Visa Invitation Letter and got my visa within a week. Also, a member of Vaidam showed me several options for my stay and I chose as per my preferences.

How did your treatment go?

Shortly after my arrival in India, my appointment was fixed with Dr. S K Rajan, a senior consultant at spine surgery department at the hospital. The doctor listened to me very patiently, noted all my medical history in detail and conducted the physical examination. After this, he ordered certain investigations to confirm the diagnosis. After the reports came back, he explained that I would need a Spine Decompression Surgery. The surgery was conducted as scheduled and went on successfully. Since then I have been recovering well.
