Nazma Cynthia Suleman is a 46 years old woman, who belongs to Malawi, which is a south-eastern country in Africa. She was genetically affected by cardiac abnormalities. When she consulted a doctor near her place, Nazma was diagnosed with multiple heart failure syndrome. Since she had a family history of unexplained heart failure in one of her siblings, she was immediately sent for treatment. However, she did not respond well to the treatment due to which the doctor advised him to get further evaluation.
Nazma decided to visit India for her treatment. She started looking for good hospital options during which she came across the website of Vaidam Health. Upon browsing further, she learnt that it could facilitate her during the entire trip. Instantly, her sister posted a query and received a call back from one of the case managers, Dr. Savin Yadav. The medical reports were shared with the best cardiac surgeons in India to take their opinion. Soon after, Dr. Savin sent them a list of cardiac hospitals and their profiles. Nazma and her family finally decided to visit KIMS Hospital, Hyderabad.
Vaidam team arranged the Visa Invitation Letter from the hospital and facilitated the medical visa application for the patient. The family received it within 72 hours of its application. An ambulance was also arranged to transport her from the airport to the hospital. Finally, they reached India on 16th November 2019.
They met Dr. Bhaskar Rao, the next day during their appointment. After examining her clinically, the doctor sent her for further investigations. After the results came back, it was clear that Nazma would need heart surgery. After a few days of pre-operative tests, the surgery was done successfully. Nazma stayed in the hospital for a few days and then moved to a hotel pre-arranged by the Vaidam team. Since then she has been recovering well.
When asked about the overall experience, her sister said, “I would like to thank you for everything. You really helped us and we thank God my sister is doing fine. She can walk and is eating well too. We will let you know when we are coming back for a check-up. Once again thank you so much for your support.”
