Vaginal prolapse is a condition in which the pelvic structures such as vaginal, uterus, rectum, bladder or urethra may begin to collapse. The skin and muscles around the vaginal walls hold these structures of the pelvis together. In the case of vaginal prolapse, surgery becomes inevitable.
Micheal Thorsen who belongs to the United States was diagnosed with Vaginal prolapse after she noticed symptoms like loss of control of bowel and bladder movements, pain on standing and many more. She wanted to get the best, yet a lesser expensive treatment. Hence, Micheal decided to visit India.
Opting for the right hospital
The ardent need to get the right treatment made her contact Vaidam by exploring the internet. She posted a query on the website. Shortly, she received a call back by one of the case managers. After taking the reports from them, the case manager shared them with some of the best urology hospitals in India. The hospitals’ opinions with a cost estimate were shared with the patient. Finally, she decided to visit Manipal hospital, Dwarka.
The Arrival in India
Selection of the hospital was followed by all paperwork needed to visit India. The case manager arranged the Visa Invitation Letter (VIL) from the hospital. Application for medical eVisa to India was also done by another team member. Micheal received the medical visa and the attendant visa within 72 hours of application in their mobile phones.
The accommodation was also arranged by the team prior to their arrival as per the requirements. After the patient arrived in India, she was picked up from the airport to their hotel, and then to the hospital.
Experience in the hospital
At a scheduled time, the patient and the family was taken to the hospital to meet the senior urology consultant at the hospital. A detailed case history was taken by the doctor, who asked minute details about any other medical condition or family history. Then, Michael was sent for detailed investigations. After the reports came back, the doctor confirmed the surgery and scheduled a date. The surgery went well. Since then, Michael has been recovering well.
