Having been Diagnosed with Brain Tumour, 16-year-old Bibi Zeenat Rashida was Scared but Found Right Treatment in India

Bibi Zeenat Rashida is a 16-year-old girl who was diagnosed with brain tumour in Fiji. Dismayed and scared, she along with her parents looked for hospitals and doctors that could provide them with the best treatment.

 

“I and my parents didn’t know what to do, who to go to when I was diagnosed with brain tumour. It was disheartening. Thankfully, my brother-in-law advised me to consult Vaidam Health”, said Rashida. Coincidentally, Rashida’s brother-in-law was our patient, Dr. Joel Trazo. He had come to India for his spine surgery and was highly pleased with the medical assistance provided by Vaidam.

After Rashida arrived in India accompanied by her parents, they were provided with a comfortable accommodation near the hospital. In India, she underwent a repeat MRI and results had shocked them.  “There was no tumour found in the MRI. We were initially very confused but then Dr. Vaishya explained that there has been a wrong diagnosis and that it was just lesion in her skull”, said her father.

 

With a simple day care procedure, the lesion was removed and Rashida was cured. “We are so relieved that it was not a brain tumour. Dr. Vaishya’s diagnosis and treatment was excellent. Because of the change in the whole treatment plan, the final bill was one fourth of the cost estimate and we are very happy”, said Rashida’s father.

 

Rashida’s father also underwent a successful glaucoma surgery at FMRI. “My father had been suffering from glaucoma since some time now. So, we thought why not go for a treatment in the same hospital. The doctor suggested a surgery and he is doing well now”, said Rashida.
