Handel Emad Fergusson, who is a 33-year-old from Sierra Leone suffered an accident earlier this year in 2019. As a part of immediate treatment, he got braces to fix the fractured jaw. However, the signs and symptoms did not improve. Handel found it difficult to chew food. He also could not breathe properly from the left nose. Hence, he planned to visit India to get the best treatment at many affordable prices.
Hunt for the right hospital
While Handel was flipping through the internet pages to look out for the best doctors in India, he came across the website of Vaidam Health. He then ended up posting a query on the website. Shortly, he received a call back from one of the case managers. She took the reports and sent them to some of the best hospitals to receive the opinions and estimated quote. After going through the detailed profiles of various hospitals and doctors provided by the case manager, he decided to visit BLK hospital, New Delhi. This was followed by the initiation of the paperwork to come to India.
Medical visa application and other arrangements
The case manager helped in getting the Visa Invitation Letter from the hospital. The visa application form was also filled by another team member of Vaidam Health. In addition to this, accommodation near the hospital and pick up facilities from the airport. The visa was received within 72 hours and finally, the patient reached India on 12th May 2018.
Appointment, investigations and treatment
After a complete checkup, the doctor sent Handel for detailed investigations like x-ray and MRI. The reports deduced that he had Post-traumatic nasal deformity. The structural changes in the left side of the nose made his breathing difficult. After going through the reports, a detailed treatment plan was made and discussed. Thereafter, with his consent, the treatment was carried out as planned.
Recovery
Handel Emad finally returned back on 7th July. He has been recovering well since then. Handel is now able to eat whatever food he likes and can also breathe without any difficulty.
