- Injured in the ongoing conflict in Yemen, about 90 Yemeni nationals have come to India for their treatment, accompanied by the UAE Embassy staff.
- Amongst them two of the soldiers have been admitted in the ICU unit.
- Admitted at Rockland Hospital, Vasant Kunj in New Delhi and in Manesar, Gurgaon, most of the patients are recuperating well.
- The Yemeni nationals have arrived in India along with their escorts under a sponsored programmed executed by the UAE humanitarian aid authority Emirates Red Crescent Authority (ERC).
- Since the inception of the conflict in 2015, Yemenis have been coming to India for medical treatment.
- In the past 2 years over 20 such patients have sought treatment at also Fortis Group of Hospitals.
- Currently, six of them are recovering at Fortis Hospital in Vasant Kunj.
