- Residents of South Africa can now apply for visas to India at the newly inaugurated VFS Global Application Centres at Johannessburg, Durban and CapeTown.
- It is the first country in the African continenet where VFS Global has started visa processing services on behalf of the government of India.
- VFS Global Application Centres was started in 2007 and currently offers visa and consular services to Indian Missions through its 43 centres across 10 countries.
