On a pleasant afternoon we at Vaidam had a delicious lunch with two of our patients.
Dr. Lorraine and her mother Catherine Agevi from Kenya had come for a neurology and orthopedic treatment whereas Emmanuel and his wife Sata Johnson too arrived from Liberia for their treatments in India. Before they went back to their respective countries in Africa, Vaidam had organized a sumptuous lunch for them in an Indian restaurant so that they don't miss out on the delicious food.
It was an afternoon well spent over mirth, laughter and exchanging views about the various cultures of the two countries, their medical infrastructure and how it is diverse from ours.
Amongst medical treatments and serious times at the hospital, these moments of informality and delight become the most cherished and memorable ones.
Through the whole process of assisting them to get their treatments, bonds are formed without any effort and we are proud of having such friends.
