Back in September, from the foreign land of Tajikistan, came the golden hair girl to join our little family at Vaidam. She spoke Russian but that was no barrier for her to make India her second home..
Muhzda Yorova took her first step towards India couple of years back when her mother required a treatment. She came seeking medical treatments but fell in love with the place right away. A love so strong that she came back to study literature and management. “I always wanted to work in India to experience the culture first hand. When the opportunity at Vaidam came my way, I grabbed it instantly”, she gushes.
And aren’t we glad she did! Having her with us has been a beautiful learning. We see the beautiful landscapes of Tajikistan, its mountainous terrains, food and culture through her eyes and stories. It is also immensely helpful to connect with patients coming from the region. It almost feels like we know them.
A smart and keen worker, Muhza gave 120% to her patients. She reminisces “I have thoroughly enjoyed working with Vaidam and wanted so much to be a part of the team long term. Who would want to leave when your seniors are just like your friends, going for a random after office party on a random Friday? The team is really helpful and I have learnt a lot. I remember how everyone helped me out to find a suitable accommodation near the office and then helping me to assist a patient from Uzbekistan, when she arrived in India”.
She also adds, “Working with Vaidam has been a really good experience. Talking to all the patients I have realized how tragic life can be and how helpless one can get. I could relate to their pain closely. Empathy came spontaneously while talking to them and I feel proud to have helped them to get treatments in India”.
Before leaving Muhzda said, “I am taking back a lot of memories with me. I would really miss Vaidam Health. It’s a splendid place to work in. I wish them all the luck and hope to keep in touch”.
“We cater to a lot of patients from diverse cultures and we desire to witness the places and their lives from an up close and personal point of view. By having Muhzda in our team we got to know a lot about her as well as her country. And it has been a treat”, said Manish Chandra, the co – founder of the company.
It was hard to see our Golder girl leave – but we wish her all the success and happiness wherever she goes in life.
