Intrauterine Insemination
It is a kind of AI procedure for treating infertility. In this process, the sperm that is washed and concentrated are placed directly in the uterus. With time ovary releases one or more eggs to be fertilized. It then results in a normal pregnancy. Preparing For the Procedure
Careful coordination is a must in intrauterine insemination before the actual procedure:
· Preparing the semen sample. Your partner’s semen sample is required at the doctor's office. A vial of frozen donor sperm can also be thawed and prepared. After The Procedure
You will have to lie on your back for a brief period after the insemination. Post-procedure you can get dressed and go back to normal daily activities. A light spotting will be observed for a day or two after the procedure.
