About Hospital
- The Thomson Medical Centre (TMC) was established in 1979 by Dr Cheng Wei Chen, an Obstetrics & Gynaecologist specialist. Hence, the hospital is famed for its specialisation in Obstetrics & Gynaecology and Paediatrics and also being the largest provider of women and child healthcare services in Singapore.
- It is the first private hospital in Singapore to set up an IVF clinic and in 1998 it delivered Singapore's first IVF triplets.
- It broke history in 2000 when it became the first clinic in the world to produce twins from frozen eggs and frozen sperm.
- TMC also provides other services like Counselling, Dentistry, Dermatology, Chinese Traditional Medicine, Sports Medicine, Aesthetics, Diagnostic & Imaging, Health Screening, and Wellness to mention a few.
