• In January 1996, in a budget-saving consolidation move, two hospitals known as Beilinson Hospital and Golda-HaSharon Hospital were merged and named Rabin Medical Centre, after the late Israeli Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin.
• Owned by Calith Health Services, Israel's largest healthcare organisation, Rabin Medical Centre is one of the largest and most prominent hospitals in Israel.
