- Changi General Hospital is the first "purpose-built" general hospital and an academic medical institution in Singapore that serves communities in the east and north eastern regions of Singapore.
- It is the first hospital in Singapore to be awarded JCI accreditation in its Heart Failure Programme and Acute Myocardial Infarction Programme.

- The hospital campus has two other facilities besides the Main Building, i.e. the Integrated Building and Medical Centre.

- Located in Simei, the eastern part of Singapore, it is a well-developed estate with many facilities and amenities.
- The hospital is just about 9 minutes away from Singpaore Changi Airport.
- There are a few hotels available within 6-7 minutes from the hospital but more could be found either towards the airport or on the western side, about 13 minutes away. The minimum price per stay is about USD 53 per night.
- To commute, taxis are available, bus stops are 5 minutes away by car, and the East-West Line is the nearest subway station which is 3 minutes by car.
- There are many restaurants offering delectable cuisines and cafes within 2 - 7 minutes by car.
