Before undergoing male to female surgery you have to undergo some tests such as your hormonal tests which are conducted by an endocrinologist such as Oestradiol &/or Testosterone, LH and FSH and they will also keep you on hormonal therapy. Some tests such as complete blood count, urea, electrolytes & creatinine, liver function tests, bone mineral density and bone age maturation, lipid profile and blood glucose test are conducted. The cost of all these tests will be included in the package.
The pharmacy and the medicine cost will be included in the package and it will consist of all the medicines which have been given to the patient during the hospital stay. But if the patient purchases any medicine from outside then they have to pay for it separately.
Male to female surgery includes breast implant surgery and genitalia surgery. These surgeries will not be done on the same day. Your breast implant surgery will take around one to two hour to complete under general anaesthesia, you can go home the same day after surgery if you feel better. Otherwise you will have stay overnight in hospital after that you can go home. Your genital reconstruction surgery will take around 4- 5 hours and your hospital stay will be around a week till you completely recover.
After your breast implant surgery you have to visit your doctor after a week for stitches removal. For your genital surgery you have to come after one week for follow up. In every 3, 6 and 9 months you have to come for follow up.
After your male to female surgery you will see the result when all the swelling, redness and bruises have subsided. It will take around a month when you can see the result of change in your organs. If you notice any abnormality such as fluid discharge after a month, change in your body temperature, difficulty in urination, difficulty in walking or doing any other activities, you need to consult your surgeon. If the breast implants fails (which is very rare) or if your genital surgery results are not appropriate then you have to go for other surgery also which is not included in the package.
