Prof. Dr. Azmi HAMZAOĞLU is a well-known Orthopedist at Florence Nightingale Hospital, Istanbul.

After completing his graduation from Istanbul University in 1983, he started his residency program from the Department of Orthopedics and Traumatology of Istanbul Faculty of Medicine of Istanbul University.
In 1989, he went to the USA and completed his certification in Spine Surgery from the Minnesota Spine Center.
Later, in 1991, he went to Japan to continue his studies in Spine Surgery from the University of Hokkaido.
He has an essential role as a Founder of the 'Orthopedic Clinic' at Florence Nightingale Hospital and Turkey's first Spine Surgery center.
He became a Specialist in 1983, earned the title of 'Associate Professor' and 'Professor' in 1989 and 1996 respectively.
