  • Dr. SS Iyengar is an eminent Interventional Cardiologist with an experience of more than 48 years.
  • He specializes in prevention and  treatment of cardiac and vascular disorders such as acute heart attack, heart failure, arrhythmia, rhythm disturbance, valvuloplasty and many more.
  • He also performs procedures such as coronary angiogram, coronary angioplasty, bypass surgery, heart valve replacement, vascular surgery, heart transplant, etc.
  • He was honoured by Vishishta Seva Medal by The President of India, PM Naik Memorial Oration Award, Pharmacia Oration Award, and Silver Medal by Director General Armed Forces Services. 
  • Dr. Iyengar completed his MBBS in 1969, MD in General Medicine in 1972  from University of Pune.
  • Thereafter, he went on to do DM in Cardiology from University of Pune in 1975.
  • Presently, he is a member of Cardiological Society of India, Fellow of Indian College of Cardiology, Indian College of Interventional Cardiology, and Indian Society of Echocardiography.
