Won the junior investigators award at the annual South African Gastroenterology Society conference in Port Elizabeth (2006) for: The clinical features and management of Solid pseudopapillary tumours of the pancreas. Won the prize for the best registrars paper for: The current management of phalangeal fractures and complex finger fractures; presented at the 2010 plastic surgical registrars symposium in Johannesburg. MMED in plastic surgery (passed with distinction 2011): Ethnic- Specific associations between Abdominal and Gluteal fat distribution and the Metabolic complications of Obesity: Implications for the use of Liposuction.
