Laparoscopic surgery helps in diagnosing and treating problems in the reproductive organs. It can help find the cause of symptoms, such as pain or bleeding whereas the Minimal access surgery is completed with one or more small incisions instead of a large incision and Bariatric surgery is on the stomach or intestines to help a person with extreme obesity lose weight.

It is minimally invasive as in a surgery a laparoscopic camera is inserted into the abdomen and the Instruments are inserted through 2 more small puncture holes.

Ultrasound, CT Scan, MRI etc are some of the investigations required by the Laparascopic surgeon to make a diagnosis and treat the medical problem.

Endoscopy has advanced in recent years, enabling some forms of surgery to be conducted using a modified endoscope which makes the surgery less invasive whereas a laparoscope is a modified endoscope used for keyhole surgery (also referred to as laparoscopic surgery).
